Kizaba has been described by the Canadian press as a “planetary afro-futurist artist” and was awarded the prestigious Radio-Canada Revelation 2024–2025 title. This Quebec artist of Canadian nationality, of Congolese origin from Kinshasa, is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and pioneer of electro-Congolese music, blending ancestral Africa with the future in a vibrant afro-futuristic universe. His albums Kizavibe and Future Village (2025) earned critical acclaim, with Kizavibe nominated for World Music Album of the Year at the Juno Awards, and Future Village recognized at the 2026 Juno Awards and ADISQ. In 2022, he performed on the main stage of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival alongside Lionel Richie, CeeLo Green, Erykah Badu, and Charlie Wilson. On stage, The Kizaba Show fuses vocals, drums, percussion, and electronic music into soukous, afrobeat, pop-rock, and afro-tech, with 3D projections and dancers creating a futuristic afro-punk world. Born in Kinshasa and trained in jazz in New York, he has forged a singular artistic identity at the crossroads of continents and generations. Today, Kizaba stands as one of the most original voices of contemporary Afro-diasporic music, bringing the fire of Future Village to every stage.
