Maldrung is a Chilean industrial nu-metal band formed in late 2019 in Concepción by vocalist Maximiliano Osiris, who initially created it as a solo project. During the pandemic, their music began to circulate and gained a loyal audience, marking the beginning of a solid trajectory in the underground scene. In 2021, they released their debut album Otra Dimensión, which was well received by fans and allowed them to establish themselves as an innovative presence in the genre. With the arrival of Jaime Ossa, Matías Neira, and Ax Villanueva in 2022, Maldrung consolidated as a full band, opening a new creative stage. That same year, they presented their second album, Inframundo, a work that delved into a darker and more personal sound, defining the group’s artistic identity. With this release, Maldrung strengthened their presence in Chile’s independent scene, especially in Concepción, where they have become a reference for local alternative metal. In 2025, they released their third album, Invasión, aiming to expand their music to new audiences and take a step toward broader recognition in their career. This work represents the band’s ambition to carve their path in the industry and leave a mark with their powerful and original approach. Known for their live energy, unique sound, and an aesthetic that fuses industrial with visceral elements, Maldrung confirms themselves as a group destined to grow and transcend.
